Halting the decline of the interior of Istria by preserving and promoting cultural heritage and encouraging the development of integrated tourist projects;
Creating a joint cross-border tourist destination and promoting sustainable tourism development in the Istrian rural areas based on cultural and natural resources;
Connecting and training providers of tourist products and services for the purpose of reducing a development gap between a more developed coastal area and undeveloped hinterland of Istria and redirecting tourists from the coastal area into Istrian hinterland;
Encouraging and promoting traditional customs, habits and trades for the purpose of halting the emigration of population from undeveloped areas into Istrian hinterland and increasing the recognizability of Istrian hinterland.
