Activities

The project will strengthen a network of information centres, previously set up under the REVITAS project, by opening the house of frescoes in Draguć, an experience based tourist centre in Vodnjan, a multimedia – experience based centre for the promotion of traditional crafts in Buzet, building an Istrian stone cottage in Izola, purchasing and renovating a part of Bržanovo household in Smokvica as an exceptional example of Istrian rural architecture; the ethnographic heritage exhibition area will be set up, walking trails marked, information points and information kiosks for directing tourists into Istrian hinterland will be put up;  joint cross-border education activities and cultural exchanges across all partnership areas will be held based on traditional building, fresco painting, old craft fairs; which will further contribute to the development of human resources in border areas and the exchange of experiences on development potentials of Slovenian and Croatian Istria; mobile application presenting over 100 Istrian sites in photos, texts and audio recordings will be created as well as the web page www.istria-culture.com, the REVITAS project material will be first reprinted and then digitalised; the traditional Istrian souvenir will undergo applicative development.
