The Giuseppe Tartini Theatre
The Giuseppe Tartini Theatre was opened in March 1910. Its simple exterior opposes the richly decorated and fresco painted interior.
The Giuseppe Tartini Theatre in Piran was opened in March 1910 as a municipal theatre. Although its original construction site was planned next to the Communal Palace, i.e. behind it, there was a change in the course of project implementation. The site which was supposed to be turned into a theatre was left unbuilt and became a square. The Giuseppe Tartini Theatre was designed by Gioachini Grassi and Giacomo Zamatti. Its interior is lavishly decorated and painted by frescoes depicting Greek muses and floral motifs.
